E-Book Systems FlipForum Guidelines

Please take a moment to review the following guidelines and familiarize yourself with them before you begin posting messages on the FlipForum. The rules will help you gain an understanding of how this Forum operates, and what is and isn’t allowed. Any failure to comply with the guidelines will result in actions describe within the “Penalty System”.

• Stay on topic
  For everyone's benefit, please stay on topic. At E-Book Systems, Inc. discretion, any off-topic discussions will be removed and asked to be continued outside the forum.
  
  
• Don't Post Commercial Messages
  Posting advertisements or solicitations that do not pertain to the intended use of our Flip products is not permitted. Any postings that contain commercial messages will be removed. For advertisements or solicitations that do pertain to the use of our Flip Products, we ask that you please post your messages in the “Commercial Zone” section of the forum only.
  
  
• Be courteous
  Please do not post inflammatory messages or offensive religious, racial or sexist remarks. Remember that everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. This forum is not a place for Debate on personal lifestyle decisions, opinions, or moral or religious judgments. These discussions are "public" and meant for assisting other users on how to use our Flip Products. If you disagree with someone’s post, challenge it respectfully without attacking the individual. Personal attacks, slurs ("flaming") and any use of profanity will not be tolerated. Even when said in jest, it's hard for Moderators to tell when an insult was meant to hurt or meant to laugh. These messages will be deleted immediately and the participant will be given a warning described under the “Penalty System”.
  
  
• Keep it legal
  Do not post copyrighted material without the express written permission of the author. Do not use the forums to encourage conduct that would
  constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any local, state, national or international law or regulation. No warez or pornographic links are permitted anywhere on the Community Forum.
  
  
• Keep Personal Information Personal
  Never post yours or anyone else’s personal information (phone number, mailing address, passwords etc.), and never ask others for their personal info, which may violate certain Federal laws under the Online Privacy Protection Act.  Posts requesting personal info will be removed.

• Keep Your Posts Clean
  Forum posts that contain harassing, offensive, vulgar, obscene, sexual, abusive, hateful, or otherwise unacceptable communications and/or images, including messages that condone illegal activity, will not be tolerated and will be removed immediately. Links or urls to images or web sites containing adult nudity will also be removed.

• Use One Forum Account
  Do not create more than one forum account. Multiple forum accounts will be deleted and the creator will be given a warning described under the “Penalty System”. If you have a problem with a forum account, please email us at support@flipforum.com.

Penalty System

If a FlipForum member is found to have violated one or more of the guidelines stated above, the following actions will be taken, but is not limited to immediate action, such as an account ban.

1. Breaking a rule for the first time: You will be sent a warning via email and/or private message and the posting(s) will be removed.

2. Breaking a rule a second time: A second and final warning will be sent to you via email and/or private message and the posting(s) will be removed.

3. Breaking a rule for the third time: A permanent ban will be placed on your account and you will no longer be able to post a message on the FlipForum.

E-Book Systems, Inc. reserves the right to remove, without warning, any messages that do not fall within the guidelines above, and to change these forums with or without prior notice.
