Thanks, Sharon for the boquet, it is beautiful.

Very good tuts on the popouts, the only difference in these and the way I did it is that I adjusted the "paper" part of the photo to give it perspective. The pic I posted is my first try, and the "Paper" part of the pic should have been skewed to lay flatter, allowing the tree and tower to protrude up from the picture. I will try and find an example and post here.

thanks for posting the tuts, it is always good to learn more ways to accomplish the end result and conbine them to come up with your original. :)

That is exactly what I thought too when I saw the ones you posted links for. Almost everyone - maybe all? - find ways to combine things. I was excited finding the method for transforming the photo to lay down. Of course, every photo is different, so if it makes a good 3D subject, then it becoming totally unique!

That's quite enough showing off Seymore :) I'm not a big graphics guru, but that is sharp.

That is precious Seymore!! Red Skelton is my all time favorite. I have to try this - making a paper part of the picture lay down. It looks like a lot of work, but the results are worth it :D

Making the paper lay down is easy.Just skew the border until you get the effect you want. Of course I have not been able to get mine to lay completely flat yet.

Judey, don't undervalue your work - both are very nice! You isolation work is nice and clean and you have done a good job on both. New ideas for me and probably a lot of other people :D

My favorite of the two is Spiderman. I got the feeling that this real person was climbing out of the picture! But then, it is Spiderman and he can do things like that - right?

The city scape is also a good idea (Spiderman is King Kong?). Are those the twin towers that were in NY? I hadn't thought of making a 3D out of buildings. I like the idea.

Good work and thanks for sharing!

Sharon

Sharon,

Those are indeed the WTC towers.

Judey, I love your work! It is kind of haunting to me to see the towers again, amazing how Manhattan's current skyline is missing them, and the people that were killed that day.

Thanks you guys....I appreciate your comments.

I didn't mean to make anyone feel badly by using the towers....I just thought it was a good skyscape.

I had my son pretend to climb one of our doorways to get him in that position!!! LOL

Thanks you guys, I can't wait to do more!!!

A helpful hint: When adding your drop shadows make sure you are placing them in the same direction as those already showing in your photos. It will make your work look more professional.

That is really a fine picture Joyce - I love the touch with the tire and tread marks - and making the background asphalt with stripe. Super! :D

I just can't get over how many possibilities there are with this technique!
